Sayaka heard the scream from behind her and ran back, soon leaping off of her feet.
“Madoka-chan!!”
Her body moved swiftly, her blade slicing the minions around the other. One by one disappearing into the dark of the labyrinth. She ran up to Madoka, dropping her blade as her arms wrapped around the other.
“A-Are you ok?..”
The girl nodded her head slowly. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea for her to come along with Sayaka, she may end up holding her back.
“Should I go? I don’t want to make matters worse…”
Sayaka slowly let go of Madoka’s hand, beginning to walk forward. Her hand shaky as the blade was held, she couldn’t be scared.
“Do it for Madoka-chan..” She murmured to herself softly.
“Sayaka…” Madoka muttered as she watched her friend walk deeper into the labyrinth. The witch was near. Madoka looked around nervously for it’s minions. It would seem there were none, until she heard one giggling behind her. The girl glanced over her shoulder, revealing what seemed to be hundreds of minions.
“You are amazing at protecting people…and you’re much stronger than you think. Don’t ever doubt yourself, what you do for for your friends and for everyone…it’s what keeps them all together. So keep strong and keep doing what you do…”
“Homura-chan…” Madoka paused; the other’s words seemed to relight a fire inside of her. She nodded her head softly. It was as if she made a silent promise to the other.
“Scared?” She looked down at the human, squeezing her hand ever so slightly. “I can’t be scared. It’s what I do, Madoka—”
She readied her blade and looked back forward, gripping the others hand as she rubbed it with her thumb.
A smile appeared on the girl’s worried face. Sayaka was strong, she knew that. However, she couldn’t help but worry sometimes. Hopefully, when she becomes a magi she will have as much courage as the other.
“Good luck, Sayaka-chan,” Madoka said softly. Although, she was sure Sayaka didn’t need it.
